A Wolfe Island woman has been killed and two other people were taken to hospital following a collision on Highway 15 on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to the scene near John F. Scott Road shortly after 6 p.m. When they arrived, they found that a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle had collided, Ontario Provincial Police said.

The motorcycle’s rider, 56-year-old Diane Torry, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two adult occupants of the passenger vehicle were taken to Kingston General Hospital by Frontenac Paramedics and were assessed for minor injuries.

Highway 15 was closed for a number of hours for the OPP’s investigation. They determined that the vehicles collided as the motorcycle was southbound and the passenger vehicle was headed north.

The road was reopened at about 2 a.m.

“The collision is currently under investigation and charges are pending,” the OPP said.
