The Royal Military College Paladins men’s hockey team has received another commitment from a local hockey player.

Mitchell Larabie, a 19-year-old left-winger, played for the Smiths Falls Bears in Tier 1 of the Central Canada Hockey League for the past two seasons. In 2018-19, Larabie scored 22 goals and 44 points in 62 games.

Larabie played his minor hockey for the Greater Kingston Jr. Frontenacs.

“Being able to play hockey for my hometown school and having my family and friends close by is something very special,” Larabie said on the Paladins Facebook page. “Not many people are given the opportunity to have this happen to them, which is going to make my university career that much more honouring.”

In February, Kingston native Chris Paquette committed to RMC.

Paquette, a centre, played five years in the Ontario Hockey League for the Niagara IceDogs and Peterborough Petes. He scored 76 goals and 159 points in 306 OHL games.
